Meditation

Stillness, higher Self, and disciplined attention.

Meditation is an essential part of spiritual practice. There are many ways to meditate, usually with one purpose: to clear and quiet the mind and connect with one’s higher Self. It has been said that while prayer is talking to the God or Goddess, meditation is listening.

Meditation requires stillness. The mind flits from thought to thought and rarely focuses on one thing for more than a moment. Meditation brings the mind into focus and allows the deep, perfect stillness of Self to arise in awareness.

Thought, word, and deed are the three pillars of creation and manifestation. Since many Wiccan rituals involve moving energy toward a desired result, the mind must become a disciplined tool. Power distills from focus and clarity.
