The Circle
Eternity, boundary, and sacred space.
This article preserves source-study language from the Covenant. Practice should be approached with preparation, context, and responsibility.
The circle is the symbol of eternity. It has neither ending nor beginning. It represents the cycle of the year and the cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth. It also represents boundary.
The circle is cast before ritual and after purifying the area because it keeps unwanted influences out and keeps the love, emotion, and energy raised within. Though called a circle, it is understood as a sphere surrounding the people and the area used during ritual.
